KENDALL RATHUNDE

CHIEF KNOWLEDGE OFFICER

Kendall Rathunde is the Chief Knowledge Officer at Declarative, leading our research and data initiatives and working to optimize our internal collaboration practices. Kendall specializes in bringing impact stories into focus using clear measurement frameworks, data, and human-centric narratives. In her role, she contributes to technical and creative writing deliverables and aims to help clients find their own voice through language.

Kendall’s journey to this work reflects her diverse perspectives and passions and is rooted in her desire to be an advocate. With personal experience that led her to evolve from dancer to dance teacher, youth educator to educational program director, and social worker to researcher, Kendall brings a multifaceted and interdisciplinary approach to her work. Prior to joining Declarative, Kendall worked in public education systems, nonprofit service organizations, economic development, and at an academic applied research center. She’s consulted with a wide variety of organizations, including Mastercard, the Gates Foundation, Goldman Sachs, Starbucks, the University of Utah, and an incredible group of impassioned entrepreneurs and nonprofit visionaries.

Kendall graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Dance, Master of Social Work with an emphasis in child welfare, and Master of Public Administration.

Kendall chaotically and lovingly mothers two children, owns way too many houseplants, and listens to Mariah Carey as hype music.

“Being creative means connecting disparate concepts, building community, and understanding that emotion always coexists with data.”
